At The Child Who Found His Way, we believe giving should come from the heart — not out of expectation. We’re not in it for recognition, we’re in it for change.
“Never give 2 receive” is more than our slogan — it’s our mindset.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but we’re just getting started. Join us as we continue to grow, serve, and remind every child — and every person — that no matter where you start, there’s always a way forward.

About us

The Child Who Found His Way

The Child Who Found His Way is more than just a nonprofit — it’s a movement built from lived experience, driven by purpose, and rooted in love for community.

Founded officially in 2019, but with work that began as early as 2016, our mission has always been clear: to uplift, inspire, and serve underserved communities in Atlanta and beyond. What started as one person’s vision to give back has grown into a grassroots force for good — thanks to the dedication of volunteers, the belief in second chances, and the power of purpose.

From back-to-school drives to full-scale annual giveaways, we’ve reached hundreds of families through acts of compassion that create lasting impact. Our founder’s voice, passion, and relentless dedication have helped secure key partnerships — including long-standing collaborations with the YMCA (since 2017), CarMax, and Mr. Everything Café, a beloved family-owned business rooted in the heart of Atlanta.

Our Mission

The Child Who Found His Way

At The Child Who Found His Way, our mission is to restore hope, opportunity, and dignity to underserved communities—starting with our youth.

We are dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty, violence, and neglect by showing up consistently and compassionately. Through educational support, essential resources, community engagement, and mentorship, we aim to not only meet immediate needs but to plant seeds for long-term success.

Rooted in the belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered, our work focuses on real, personal impact — not empty promises. We’re building bridges where systems have failed, and creating spaces where young people and families feel valued, supported, and equipped to rise.

We don’t give to get.
We give to grow.
Because we believe: “Never give 2 receive” — when it comes from the heart, it’s already enough.

What to Expect in 2025

2025 marks a powerful new chapter for The Child Who Found His Way.

As our founder launches MYNDSET SPORTS, we’re expanding our mission beyond events and giveaways — stepping into year-round mentorship, coaching, and youth development. This new initiative is designed to directly support young athletes and students in our community with the structure, discipline, and mindset tools they need to succeed both on and off the field.

With our founder currently pursuing Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credentials and focusing on youth athletic training, we’ll be offering:

Mentorship & Mindset Coaching through MYNDSET SPORTSSports-based youth development and fitness sessionsLife skills & goal-setting workshopsPop-up clinics and community activations combining fitness, education, and empowermentContinued back-to-school drives, holiday giveaways, and hands-on support for familiesThis evolution reflects who we are at our core — a team that grows with the needs of our community. Whether through sport, mentorship, or service, our mission remains the same: to show up, build up, and never give to receive.

What clients say about our performance

David P.

I've been volunteering at HOPE The Child Who Found His Way since 2016 and absolutely LOVE it!! The dining room is incredibly well run, staffed with the nicest employees and volunteers, and best of all are the guests we have the pleasure of serving.

Sofia J.

There are so many organizations doing great work to help United States, Georgia low income and homeless population, but I support The Child Who Found His Way because of their commitment to extend dignity and respect to all.

Jhon E.

The best and super efficient place to volunteer. They serve to the most vulnerable and needy segment ofUnited States, Georgia , the poor people of TL. There are various activities and options available to volunteer. They even have a 1 hr. Shift to serve lunch during the day, so that works out best if you work in SF downtown area. On an average.
